Acre Hill Cottage is a terrific option for visitors who enjoy the great outdoors because it is located in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is only a 30-minute drive from Pendle Hill and the Yorkshire Dales. The region is well-liked by walkers, and there are many paths that take you through some of the UK’s most beautiful landscapes. Gisburn Forest is a great starting point for walking, riding horses, mountain biking, and fishing at Stocks Reservoir.

Living room: With wood burner, Freeview Smart TV, with Amazon prime.

Kitchen area: With electric oven, electric hob and fridge/freezer

Bedroom: One bedroom with double bed with Freeview.

Bathroom: With shower and toilet.

Cottage Features

Bed linen and towels are included with your stay. Extra can be purchased too. Initial fuel for wood burner included. Then you have to provide your own. also we allow up to 4 pets in the Cottage.

There's plenty to do

The home has bike storage, and you can travel around the Ribble Valley on the twisting country paths. Your dog is more than welcome to accompany you throughout your stay, and they will undoubtedly have the fun of their lives exploring the nearby countryside. Three miles away is the idyllic village of Bolton-by-Bowland, which has two village greens and a welcoming local tavern serving delectable fare. Slaidburn, Newton, and Downham, to name just a few of the many attractive rural communities within the Trough of Bowland, can all be reached in about 15 minutes and each has a local inn.

Within 20 minutes, you can be at Pendle Hill and learn about the Pendle Witches’ historical tale. Only 7 miles separate you from Clitheroe, a thriving market town widely regarded as the Ribble Valley’s capital. A great variety of boutique stores, cafes, wine bars, pubs, and restaurants can be found in this area, where the streets are lined with bunting.
